It's official. We are taking Armageddon to Tasmania in 2011. After a long time in negotiation we are happy to announce that Hobart becomes the fourth Australian city to experience Armageddon. It's scheduled for the June long weekend.

The Culture Shock Events office will be closed from today until the 15th July 2010 whilst Rob dons his fedora and heads overseas to explore ancient ruins and seek out the mystery's of life.

Armageddon 2010 Gold/Silver Passes On Sale

The mother of all pop culture expos, Armageddon Melbourne, is on its way. Our 4th Melbourne Armageddon Expo promises to be huge and we know you want to make the most of your time at the event. Armageddon has a variety of activities and programing often happening in different corners of the event at the same time. If missing some of the action is the end of your world, our special passes may help limit this.

Our special "Gold" and "Silver" Passes are now on sale and limited in number. They are designed to meet the needs of a select group of people.

The Armageddon "Gold Pass" is for those who have the celebrity guest signings and photo ops as a priority and don't want to be caught up in long autograph queues for hours. This allows them to more fully experience other areas of the show. It doesn't guarantee that there won't be clashes in what you are interested in but it limits the chances of clashes with less time in signing queues. It is also a pass that gets you into the exclusive cocktail party and special limited seating "silver panels". Best of all, it gets you through the door and into the action without the long queue at entry.

The Armageddon "Silver Pass" is for those who want to get into the action of the event without the long entrance queue and also want to make the most of our most popular celebrity guest talks and panels. The special silver panels are a smaller more intimate audience and allows some of our celebrity guests to give an extra presentation and perhaps an exclusive tidbit of news they held from the wider Armageddon crowd.

If queues are the end of your world then these special passes are the way to go. We are also looking a number of other passes for those trying to avoid the wait in animation and comic signing lines. More on this soon.

Change to OzTrek 3 Guests

Unfortunately due to a directing gig on Burn Notice Jonathan Frakes has advised us that he cannot attend OzTrek 3.  We hope to have Jonathan at a future OzTrek event.

In his place we have been fortunate to secure MICHAEL DORN, 'Worf' from Star Trek: The Next Generation and deep Space Nine.  This will be only Michael's 2nd visit to Australia, the last being some 15 years ago, and unlike then he will be signing autographs in person.
